The Story behind ‘La Ribière’

We are Belgians who have been spending our summers in Provence since childhood and have lost our hearts to a special region with a rich past. It seems as if you almost automatically feel a happier person in Provence.

In 'La Provence verte', various landscapes are constantly changing. From wooded hills to valleys with vineyards and olive groves. Medieval villages are scattered throughout the area. One flattered along the banks of a river, the other impaled on a hilltop.

Since ancient times, the climate and joie de vivre of Provence has attracted many people. Greeks, Romans, even Popes.  Artists such as Cézanne, Van Gogh, and many others were inspired by the fascinating landscape, with its unique light and special splendor of color.

Living like God in France is not just a saying here, it is a way of life that is widespread. After many summers of traveling around Provence, we always came back to the same village. There's a certain appeal that's hard to describe.

We have lost our heart to a unique village: Entrecasteaux.

La Ribière is within walking distance (1200m) of the village. In Entrecasteaux there are opportunities to do daily shopping, a typical village café and some nice restaurants. In the nearby towns you will find Provencal markets, walking and cycling routes, wine tastings, supermarkets, and countless sights...

We are sure that La Ribière will give you a relaxing and carefree holiday.
